Compliance Manager, 100% Vilnius

Main Responsibilities

• Local entity management of Sonect Europe UAB
• Own and be responsible for Compliance, Data Protection, and Risk Management for Sonect Europe
• Advise, support and collaborate with key and senior internal stakeholders, including members of the board by recommending, coordinating and following up on corrective actions or action plans for resolution of problematic issues identified related to compliance vulnerability and risk and provide guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
• Responsible for developing, planning, managing and executing change initiatives as well as providing consulting services to management and colleagues in the implementation and supervision of compliance topics.
• Recommending, coordinating and following up on corrective actions or action plans for resolution of problematic issues identified related to compliance vulnerability and risk and provide guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future
• Monitor and keep ahead of regulatory developments possibly impacting the organisation and translate them into possible action items for the company 
• Be the “Swiss Army knife” of the EU branch
• Representing Sonect externally
• Relationship Management with Vendors, Suppliers, and Partners

Essential Requirements  

• Bachelor’s Degree in LAW, MBA or equivalent
• 7+ years in Compliance or Risk Management
• At least 4-5 years working on management level
• Specific know-how in financial institution Risk Management
• Specific know-how in regulatory requirements of a financial institution
• Knowledge and working experience in FinTech/Financial services
• Significant decision-making capabilities
• High-level judicial and analytical capabilities
• Critical thinker with a sense of responsibility and a very good attention to detail
• Highly effective communicator and negotiator who inspires others with one’s own high standards
• Interpersonal skills and a business-oriented and positive  mindset as well as assertive and confident 
• Discrete, trustworthy and great sense of integrity, behaving consistently with expressed values and ethical principles and good reputation
• Flexible and able to adapt to new situations
• Entrepreneurial thinking and customer oriented
• A proactive self-starter who can work independently, goal oriented and exact
• A hands on professional who is devoted to its work, with very good organizational skills
• Understanding of Lithuanian/EU Financial Services regulation
• Excellent Lithuanian and English
