Job Description

DUTIES:

Responsible for fraud prevention and detection in the Consular Section. The incumbent conducts sensitive, routine, and complexinvestigations into U.S. citizenship, and nonimmigrant and immigrant visa fraud. Performs validation studies of U.S. visas issued at the Embassy, attempting to define (and ultimately prevent) the groups most likely to emigrate illegally. Serves as a subject matter expert on immigration fraud, liaises with Lithuanian government officials on immigration fraud matters, and performs fraud prevention outreach and training.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in investigative work, with emphasis on immigration or law enforcement investigations.

 

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: Law, Law Enforcement, International Relations, Economics or Politics.

 

LANGUAGE:

  • Fluent knowledge of English and Lithuanian (Speaking/Reading/Writing) is required.  Good working knowledge of Russian (Speaking/Reading/Writing) is required. This may be tested.
