Job Description

  • Maintaining timesheets for company’s employees.
  • Calculating salaries and salary-related payments (bonuses, overtime earnings, sick-pays, vacation allowance and similar) as well as taxes.
  • Preparing and posting ledger entries with earnings and deductions in accounting software.
  • Preparing external payroll and tax reports for the government.
  • Issuing payroll statements at requests of employees.
  • Maintaining employees files and issuing employment documents (hiring, termination, change in employee position, salary rate, change of other employee information).
  • Consulting employees on salary and tax issues.
  • Preparing and executing all types of banking payments.
  • Gathering suppliers' invoices and invoices issued by the company and providing these documents to the outsourced accounting company.
  • Submitting monthly statistical survey A04 to the government.
  • Communicating with the outsourcing accounting company.
  • Leading of payroll-related projects: arrangement of issuing of salary cards for employees, transfer to a new payroll software, etc.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Payroll Accountant.
  • Higher education in Economics / Accounting.
  • Deep knowledge of Lithuanian accounting and salary-related tax legislation.
  • Extensive experience in preparing ledger entries and processing payments.
  • Experience in calculating payroll, preparing payroll and tax reports, as well as answering payroll inquiries.
  • Ability to maintain and update employees' payroll files.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, bank payment software, accounting software.
  • Intermediate English or Russian.
