Database developer (SSRS/SSIS)

This role will involve working alongside other developers to ensure that data quality and formatting is optimised thereby allowing universal solutions. The role requires outstanding track record of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) solutions, great inter-personal skills as well as excellent knowledge of ETL and Data Warehousing.
Along with, this role also requires experience in SSIS because the individual will need to develop data integration packages that will extract data from various data sources including manipulating data volumes exceeding tens of terabytes. The role will also be required to employ efficient data querying techniques, such as T-SQL and/or PL/SQL, to support enterprise-grade solutions.

The role responsibilities include:

• Analysing business and technical requirements and translating them into efficient reporting solutions;
• Analysing business and technical processes, and related data to produce the data flows that meet the business requirements;
• Building state-of-art reports that deliver information in a user-friendly and efficient way;
• Designing BI solutions with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 / 2008 R2 / 2012;
• Developing data links and data loading scripts, including data transformations, reconciliations and accuracies;
• Creating data packages and modelling data integration flows with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) from various data sources;
• Building the data integration flows in an efficient way to avoid duplication of code and allow easy updates in the future;
• Querying Microsoft SQL Server 2008 / 2008 R2 / 2012;
• Looking for root causes in case of solution failures;
• In case of a solution failure take proactive role in fixing them.

We expect that you:

• are an expert of SSRS;
• are an expert of SSIS;
• have mastered SQL Server 2008 / 2008 R2 / 2012;
• have advanced knowledge of T-SQL and/or ANSI SQL, ETL and Data Warehousing;
• use MS Visual Studio 2010 / 2012;
• have good analytical skills;
• have a participated in all phases of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC);
• have a degree in Computer Science or Information Management;
• might be MCSA in SQL Server (2008/2012), MSCE in Business Intelligence (2008/2012) or Data Platform (2008/2012).
