Director of Content & Audience Growth

Tesonet Global, UAB
From 5500 €/m Gross

Job Description

You are a content leader who thinks in ecosystems, not channels. You know that a strong story can live as a video, an article, and a social cut - and that most media companies leave that value on the table because their teams work in parallel instead of together. You want to fix that.

You're energized by bringing PR, editorial, and YouTube brand content under one strategic direction. You lead through team leads and senior specialists, you're comfortable influencing people who don't report to you, and you know how to get functions with different definitions of success to pull in the same direction.

You're as fluent in audience and format thinking as you are in commercial reality. You care about reach, but you care more about what that reach delivers: organic traffic, returning sessions, authority, inbound partnerships, and monetization flexibility. And you're motivated by the scale of the opportunity - there's significant upside still untapped in how these teams and audiences connect.

  • Own the unified content strategy across YouTube, social media, and editorial for Mediatech portfolio, turning business goals into one clear direction
  • Build the content synergy model - a repeatable system for how stories, formats, and assets move between teams to maximize reach, efficiency, and impact from every piece of work
  • Lead and develop team leads across the content ecosystem, setting clear accountability, shared standards, and a common definition of success
  • Drive audience growth across the portfolio, identifying where cross-team collaboration unlocks reach that no single team could deliver alone
  • Connect content performance to commercial outcomes - traffic, returning sessions, brand authority, inbound partnership and sales opportunities, and monetization flexibility - working closely with business stakeholders to turn audience into revenue
  • Define shared planning rhythms, editorial calendars, and decision-making frameworks so teams operate as one ecosystem rather than separate departments
  • Establish the metrics, reporting, and feedback loops that show what's working across channels, and make sure insights travel between teams instead of getting stuck in one
  • Spot emerging trends, platform shifts, and format opportunities, and convert them into coordinated plays across video, social, and editorial
  • Protect and strengthen brand consistency and quality standards across every touchpoint and every brand in the portfolio
  • Build a testing culture: pilot new concepts, evaluate them honestly, kill what doesn't work, and scale what does

Requirements

  • Experience managing through team leads and building high-performing structures, rather than managing execution directly
  • Experience leading content or media functions, with responsibility spanning multiple channels or brands
  • Track record of growing audiences and delivering measurable commercial results from content
  • Understanding of at least two of the following YouTube and video, social platforms, editorial and publishing is a plus
  • Ability to align teams with different cultures, workflows, and success metrics behind a shared strategy
  • Strong analytical thinking, with confidence working across performance data, experiments, and cross-channel attribution
  • Experience building systems and processes that improve execution at scale - planning, prioritization, quality control, reporting
  • Clear, structured decision-making: you can explain your reasoning, focus on outcomes, and make calls without full information
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including with senior business leadership
  • A proactive, ambitious mindset and real curiosity about audiences, platforms, and where media is heading

Nice to have

  • Bonus points for experience in digital publishing, multi-brand environments, or scaling content operations across several verticals
