Early Years Classroom PreK-4 Teacher

Early Years Teachers support the holistic development of children through a Reggio Emilia-inspired, play-based environment that treats every child as a curious and capable learner. The role involves managing classroom routines, designing inspiring learning spaces, maintaining safety, fostering positive relationships, and collaborating closely with families and colleagues.

• Classroom & Learning Environment: Create an inclusive, Reggio Emilia-inspired space that fosters independence, creativity, safety, and belonging.
• Curriculum & Pedagogy: Plan, facilitate, and reflect on inquiry- and play-based experiences tailored to diverse learning profiles, languages, and developmental needs.
• Documentation & Assessment: Document learning through observations, portfolios, and reports to track progress and celebrate growth.
• Daily Care & Routines: Guide transitions, personal care, rest, meals, and outdoor play in line with health and safeguarding procedures.
• Family & Team Collaboration: Communicate regularly with parents and work closely with Learning Assistants and colleagues on planning and school events.
• Professional Growth: Participate in team reflection, school initiatives, and ongoing Early Years professional development.

• Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education (Master’s preferred) with valid teaching certification.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years teaching children ages 2–5 (international school experience preferred).
• Pedagogical Background: Proven success with play-based, inquiry-driven, and emergent curricula; direct experience with the Reggio Emilia approach is a strong advantage.
• Inclusive & Global Mindset: Skilled in supporting diverse, inclusive learners; fluent English proficiency and cultural sensitivity.
• Interpersonal & Collaborative Skills: Exceptional communication skills with a warm, empathetic, child-centered approach, adept at partnering with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Professional Disposition: High flexibility, creative problem-solving, tech proficiency (Google Workspace), and a commitment to ongoing professional growth.

• Workload: Full-time (36 hours per week).
• Monthly salary range before taxes: 2500 - 3300 EUR (based on candidate’s experience and qualifications).
