Job Description

  • Early childhood development and play-based, inquiry-driven learning practices;
  • Reggio Emilia-inspired approaches, including observation, documentation and responsive learning environments;
  • Positive guidance and relationship-based classroom practices;
  • Children’s social-emotional, language and developmental needs, including individual differences in learning and behavior;
  • Effective communication and collaboration with children, families, teachers and administrators;
  • The ability to create supportive, inclusive and engaging learning environments;
  • Literacy in Google platforms and the ability to work with a variety of digital tools and applications;
  • Help with school events, trips and activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or early years setting.
  • Understanding of play-based, inquiry-based and/or Reggio Emilia-inspired learning approaches.
  • Experience supporting children with diverse learning and language needs is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English (knowledge of another language would be an additional benefit).
  • Ability to safely lift, assist and support young children with daily physical, toileting and self-care needs.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative and organizational skills.
