As Engineering Manager in Vinted's Platform organisation, you will be responsible for leading a team that shapes how engineers - and increasingly AI agents - build, test, and ship software at Vinted. We are hiring 2 Engineering Managers: one to lead the Developer Portal team, and one to lead the Developer Environments team. Both roles share the same mission: making the use of Vinted's Platform feel like using a product for humans and agents alike.
The Developer Portal team owns the entry point to Vinted's Platform - the place engineers go to discover capabilities, understand ownership and requirements, start and track workflows, and inspect the state of their services across Web UI, CLI, and MCP/agent integrations. It works through federation: capability owners publish through a shared contribution framework, while the team owns the product experience that ties it all together. The Developer Environments team owns the environments where code gets built and verified: on-demand development environments with realistic seed data, isolated sandboxes where multiple autonomous coding agents can work the same repository concurrently, and the paths that let changes move from plan to production with minimal human toil.
Both teams sit at the core of Vinted's AI adoption strategy, which shifts engineers toward architecture and planning while AI agents autonomously implement, test, deploy, and monitor. You will report to Artūras Vedrickas, and work closely with Platform capability owners, the Agentic Platform team, Product Engineers across all domains, and Security.
- Lead a team of engineers building internal products that hundreds of colleagues and a fast-growing population of AI agents rely on every single day
- Shape your team's vision, scope, and quarterly objectives with your stakeholders, and be accountable for turning initiatives into shipped, adopted outcomes - not just merged code
- Create golden paths so that the common journeys - spin up a service, provision a resource, get a test environment, understand what broke - take minutes of focused effort
- Drive outcomes you can actually measure: journey completion time, self-service rate, how ready our repositories and workflows are for agents to work in them
- Own delivery for your team: spotting dependencies early, clearing obstacles, tracking milestones, and stepping in when the plan meets reality
- Ensure the quality of engineering - sound principles, meaningful SLOs, incidents met with fast response and honest post-mortems, with technical debt that's visible, priced, and paid down at the right moments
- Grow your people through real 1:1s, realistic development plans, and feedback that's kind because it's honest
- Keep stakeholders across Engineering genuinely informed and aligned, translating between deep technical detail and business needs
- Contribute to the Domain's technical strategy
- Help shape Vinted's AI adoption roadmap - repo AI-readiness, evaluation frameworks, hosted coding agents - and evolve your own team's ways of working as the answers arrive
As an Engineering Manager here you'll stay close to the technical work. Depending on the team, that work includes:
- Build a federated contribution framework that lets Platform capability owners publish self-service workflows, ownership, and health data
- Design journey orchestration that follows Platform workflows all the way to done: what's happening, what it's waiting on, where it failed, who owns the fix
- Expose the same Platform capabilities across three surfaces - Web UI, CLI, and MCP - so a human at a keyboard and an agent in a pipeline can complete identical outcomes
- Develop on-demand development environments with realistic seed data, so any service can be spun up, tested, and torn down in minutes, by a person or an agent
- Build isolated, secure sandboxes where multiple autonomous coding agents work the same repository concurrently without cross-contamination
- Create the CI/CD verification gates - linting, test suites, AI-assisted validation - that earn the trust needed to auto-merge an increasing share of agent-authored changes
- Integrate with the service catalog, observability, and deployment systems engineers already use - surfacing their data with clear authority and drill-down
