Enterprise IT Architecture is taking a leading role in Telia Company’s transformation journey, modernizing our ITlandscape and Ways of Working.  

We are seeking an IT Architect with a strong technical background to help fulfil our commitments towards the units we serve. 

 

Your next challenge? 

As the architect responsible for delivering our API Strategy you will analyse where Telia can get best value for common APIs – both for internal integration and exposed to our customer and partners across 6 countries. 

 

You will set targets and follow up the planning and execution of initiatives. You will understand the relationship between exposed APIs and internal services, and the trade-offs between cloud-based and on-prem API. 

 

The role operates beyond IT system design and integration; it is about driving business change and working with people, processes, and technology to perform fundamental activities of the business in both current and future states. 

 

You will be involved in building and leading a central team of competence in the area. This small team will work withcolleagues from different parts of the business, IT architects and other technology teams, where you will identify standards and analyse technology trends to develop reference architectures and roadmaps. 

  

Furthermore, you will provide guidance and direction to delivery teams to ensure a comprehensive and coherent view across Business, Information, Systems and Technology.  

Who are you? 

We are looking for a proactive and self-driven person with focus on IT-quality and delivery skills. You need good communication skills to work with multiple teams across many business units and countries. You will also need to be pragmatic, be able to prioritise, and develop an approach for continuous improvement in the delivery of our API strategy 
 

You will be working closely with the business, IT architects, developers and business partners in order to lead and coordinate the technical and business discussions relative to a future architecture direction across multiple teams or complex product lines the following experience and skills are required for this position:

Your experience: 

Strong enterprise IT architecture design experience (5-10 years) with focus on large-scale solution and enterprise architecture design 

Comfortable working in a rapidly changing business environment 

Extensive experience with requirements gathering, understanding business needs and system design 

Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology or related field and/or equivalent work experience. 

Experience with the telecommunications sector is a plus 

You will stand out if you have:
