Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist

We invite you to join Pon.Bike Lithuania as an Environment, Health and Safety Specialist and become a part of the world-leading bicycle family Pon.Bike. You will report directly to the Plant Manager at Pon.Bike Lithuania. Your main goal will be to plan, implement, and enforce the organization's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.

Your responsibilities:

• To set and update the highest standard policies and guidelines compliant with all relevant regulations for keeping employees safe and healthy at Pon.Bike Lithuania.
• To follow and implement at our plant the best worldwide practice related to keeping the environment safe and clean.
• Initiate and take responsibility for various programs that help to involve all the employees in keeping their workplaces safe (near misses, Accidents, Risk places’ report, internal audits etc.)
• To provide instruction and training on environmental health and safety topics, organize health checks, organize workplace risk assessments etc.
• To collaborate with other departments in ensuring safe working conditions.
• To ensure effective communication in the company keeping the EHS topics continuously live and important.
• To be an ambassador for continuous improvement and lead by example, showing that there is always a better way to do the job. 

• Have experience in an H&S specialist position at a production company with a high level of H&S (preferably at an international company)
• Have good knowledge of the principles of managing, coaching, motivating, and influencing employees.
• From a personality perspective, you like to collaborate with colleagues, have a focus on health and safety, and set high leadership standards for yourself.
• Can communicate fluently in Lithuanian and English (verbal and written).
• Have a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Management, or a similar field.
• Are a motivated hands-on type of person with a little bit of hunger for achievements and also like to empower and encourage others.
