Requirements
The Executive Villa Butler coordinates all Villa related service activities in order to assure impeccable standards, guest satisfaction, well organized and efficient maintenance, excellent levels of cleanliness and tidiness as well as the correct interaction with all other departments in view to guaranteeing that all runs well during the stay. The Executive Villa Butler welcomes and checks in guests, making dining and entertainment arrangements, and support all their needs, thereby interacting with other departments according to specific requirements. This all round and complete service finishes by seeing guests off ensuring that the guest experience was amazing in every way.
Your skills and duties include:
· Manage other domestic staff, including chamber maids, chefs and gardeners pertaining to the Villa team
· Make the daily walk around to check and certify that all standards are of the highest possible level and no detail is forgotten
· Overseeing and helping to maintain a spotless appearance of the household
· Execute the household organization and planning on a daily and weekly basis
· Anticipate guests’ needs by learning their preferences, allergies, dislikes, etc.
· Recommend and share information pertaining to the wines, spirits and specialty foods in stock in the Villa
· Have good knowledge of the surroundings and local culture to share information which may interesting or useful to guests
· When necessary, travel ahead of the guest to their Villa to ensure that everything is prepared before the arrival
· Take stock of all household items ensuring everything is stocked up and ready
· Manage inventory and stock lists
· Communicate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are cleaned at the most convenient time for the guests
· Serve and supervise at private functions and events in the Villa
· Carry out smaller household jobs when required, ex. changing a light bulb, picture a hanging etc.
· Recommend and arrange amenities for guests
· Carry out turn down service
· Provide personalized service to guests
· Meet guests on arrival and help them settle in their rooms
· Serve meals and pour drinks for guests
· Perform personal errands and household administration as needed
· Ensure guests’ rooms and facilities are clean and tidy and everything is working properly
· Keep up-to-date on all hotel policies on safety and hygiene
· Remain well-groomed at all times
· See guests off when they check out
· Liaise with other team members
· Shop for new household items if needed
· Perform all duties with discretion, professionalism and a pleasant demeanor
· Perform additional duties as required
Your profile
· You have previous experience (min. 3 years) as a Butler or a similar role supporting within private households, private yachts, hotels or in hospitality
· You have a flexible approach to tasks and team support
· You are fluent in English (verbal and written)
· You are able to communicate in German and or Portuguese (highly valued)
· You possess great teamwork and strong multi-tasking skills
· You pay high attention to detail and possess the attitude that “no job is too small”
· You show confidence when dealing with big personalities and are able to conveniently respond to the needs of the property owner´s own private Villa
· You are trustworthy and able to handle confidential information appropriately
· You are able to adapt to a fluid environment
· You are able to handle sensitive matters with efficiency and discretion
· You possess excellent interpersonal communication skills
· You are committed to a high level of customer service and passionate about luxury hospitality
· You are patient and able to stay calm under pressure but also vigorous and dynamic when tackling problems
· You are intuitive and service driven
· You possess Driving license
· You possess excellent checkable references
· You have good knowledge of wines as well as food and wine pairings (a plus)
