Job Description

What we are looking for:

Lithuanian native speaking translators who are professionals of English and German languages for the following subject matter areas:

• IT (software interfaces, user guides, help files)
  
• Medical (diagnostic devices, clinical trials, pharmaceuticals, dentistry)
  
• Technical (civil engineering, machinery, tools, electronics, automotive)
  
• Legal (contracts, agreements, court documents, etc.)
  

Any other additional language pairs are advantageous!

Main tasks:

• Translation of various complexity documents from English and/or German into Lithuanian and vice versa;
  
• Editing/proofreading of translations to ensure accuracy, consistency and overall quality.
  
• Trados 2007 is mandatory!

Requirements

What do we expect:

• For German linguists: fair command of English in order to communicate with our project managers;
  
• Experience of at least 3 years as a professional translator or editor/proof-reader;
  
• Professional knowledge (university degree) and/or interest on the subject matter;
  
• Accessibility during our business hours (9:00–17:00 CET, Mon–Fri) via e-mail and Skype;
  
• Expert user of MS Office 2010 or later and CAT tools (Trados 2007 or later, ability to work with other CAT tools is advantageous);
  
• Ability to issue an invoice once a month.
