General Operative (job offer in Ireland)

We are currently recruiting general operatives for our client, Sperrin Galvanisers, based in the west of Ireland, in Tynagh, County Galway.

Sperrin Galvanisers provides galvanizing services to various engineering, industrial, commercial, and private clients. These are full-time positions that can be started immediately.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be based in a factory environment and main responsibilities include:

• Preparing work to enter the galvanizing process.

• Operating overhead crane equipment and forklifts.

• Ensuring working areas are kept safe and tidy, working with your colleagues and company systems to highlight any concerns.

• Following training and procedures for all production-based activities and practices in your area.

• Full training will be provided. This role would suit someone who is a team-player, conscientious and has a ‘can-do’ attitude. The work involves a reasonable amount of physical activity, so it would suit someone who is confident in lifting and handling work (with appropriate training offered to all).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Must be reliable;
• Willingness to work in shifts.

TRAVEL EXPENSES:

The cost of travel to Ireland is fully paid. Upon arrival in Ireland, commuting is organized.

ACCOMMODATION:

We accommodate the first 8 weeks for free. After 8 weeks the cost of company-provided accommodation will be €85 per week.

• PAY RATE:

  • €15.18 per hour 07.00-15:30;
  • €17.46 per hour from 15.00 to 23:30;
  • Overtime 1.5x after 8 hours work in a shift and on Saturday. Double the rate for Sunday work.
  • Christmas Bonus Plan

  WORKING HOURS:

  From Monday to Friday, shift work in the following shifts: 7-15.30 and 15.00-23.30 Saturday shifts: 06.00-12.00 and 12.00-18.00.
