Job Description

The team:As the next Head of Commerce Department (CCO), you will be the leader of a team of 9 members in 3 departments: pricing, sales and purchasing. There are also finance, IT and logistics departments in the company and they will work together with you to achieve company’s goals. The marketing department is on the way and it will help your team to bring additional value to the partners (both clients and suppliers).

The role:The Head of Commerce Department (CCO) role will have a full responsibility for all aspects of commercial operations (sales operations, pricing, purchasing). You will collaborate with senior leadership in determining and driving the development and execution of the commercial strategy for the company. As the next Head of Commerce Department (CCO) you will shape the future commercial strategy for scaling in large B2B, SME, e-commerce, retail client-side markets and developing the suppliers ecosystem.

We’re looking for a Leader of Commerce Department, whose responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic management of the company’s commercial department including sales, purchasing and pricing activities.
  • Development of cooperation with the company's strategic partners (both suppliers and clients all over the world)
  • Searching for new supply partners for the company and building long-lasting relationships with strategic suppliers.
  • Development, implementation and continuous improvement of standardization of all commercial processes.
  • Leading the team, ensuring its involvement, organizing effective work, team-building and education.
  • Setting long-term and short-term goals, setting KPIs, development of motivational system for the department.
  • Product assortment strategy and pricing policy management.
  • Providing strategic control of optimum stocks of the goods.
  • Monitoring product and market trends in the marketplace and the activities of competitors.
  • Participating in local and international trade fairs in order to grow market share.

Requirements

  • Higher university education in business, economics, marketing or management.
  • Successful management experience in the wholesale and/ or retail sector). Preferably in the Beauty or FMCG area (commercial role would be the best fit while business development and sales related experience would be the second priority).
  • A proven track record in managing purchasing and procurement processes.
  • Ability to think strategically, initiate strategic changes and ensure their implementation.
  • Experience in management of international trade transactions, experience in high-level negotiations with international suppliers, clients or partners.
  • Product pricing skills (FMCG or Beauty categories related product pricing skills would be considered as a plus).
  • Initiative, goal and result orientation, ability to make decisions independently.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience of international trading and international business relations would be a big plus (your team will work with international suppliers and B2B clients all over the world)
  • Strong leadership, team management, development and motivation experience.
  • Strong partnership and networking skills, including adeptness in building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge of English. Russian and other languages ​​would be an advantage.
