Head of Data Department

Pulsetto, UAB
5000 - 8000 €/m Gross
Occasional remote work possibility

Job Description

Pulsetto is a fast-growing, DTC wellness-tech company selling the hardware and operating across e-commerce, a subscription model, and a companion app. As operational complexity increases, we're looking for a Head of Data to become the analytical backbone of the company, enabling faster and more confident decisions across departments.

This is a hybrid role leading a small, agile data team (1–3 people) — a setup where the Head of Data stays close to the data day-to-day (roughly 50% hands-on) while also directing the team's priorities and growth. You'll work across a wide range of stakeholders — marketing, product, finance, and operations — each with different, sometimes competing, data needs, and you'll be the one who decides what gets prioritized and why.

  • Own end-to-end data architecture and infrastructure strategy for the company
  • Lead ingestion, integration and preparation of data from all company sources (e-commerce, marketing/ads platforms, CRM, app/product, finance, ops)
  • Establish and monitor data quality standards and governance across systems
  • Build and maintain company-wide reporting and dashboards (executive + departmental)
  • Ensure data integrity and a single source of truth across systems
  • Convert raw data into actionable insights across marketing, sales, product, finance and operations
  • Own the product analytics agenda — define product metrics, run A/B testing, and embed data into the product development cycle
  • Lead, mentor and grow a small data team — setting clear priorities, supporting career development, and ensuring fast, high-quality delivery
  • Act as the main point of contact for data needs across marketing, product, finance and operations, balancing and prioritizing competing requests
  • Bring structure and prioritization discipline to a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or BI, including proven ownership of a data function or team
  • Hands-on experience designing data architecture and pipelines (ETL/ELT) across multiple, disparate sources; experience with dbt
  • Strong SQL and experience with a modern cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar)
  • Experience with BI/visualization tools (LightDash, Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Experience with e-commerce and marketing data (Shopify, Meta/Google Ads, GA4, CRM)
  • Product analytics experience — defining product metrics, running A/B tests, and understanding the role of data in the product development cycle
  • Strong communication and prioritization skills — able to navigate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders across marketing, product, finance and operations
  • Fluent English

Nice to have

  • People leadership experience (hiring, mentoring, managing a small team)
  • Experience in DTC/e-commerce, subscription, or health & wellness/consumer tech
  • Python or similar for data processing/automation
  • Experience scaling a data function in a startup/scale-up

Company offers

  • Private health insurance after 6 months.
  • Hybrid model — 3 days in the Vilnius office.
  • Work-from-anywhere flexibility: Ability to work from anywhere in the world for up to 40 days per year.
  • Opportunity to directly influence brand trust and organic growth at a global scale.
  • Collaboration with a world-class team across Europe and the US.
  • Office perks — free lunch 3x/week for the Vilnius team.
  • Additional vacation days based on tenure.
  • Birthday day off.
  • Pulsetto device to support your well-being.
  • A fast-growing, supportive environment where experimentation is the norm.
