Job Description

  • Lead effective 2nd line independent oversight and challenge to decisions that affect the organisation’s exposure to risk, including credit risk, operational risk, financial risk, and reputational risk
  • Provide comprehensive and clear risk reporting and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, in particular, the Audit and Risk Committee and the Board
  • Maintain vigilance for any adverse developments that may not be consistent with the company’s risk appetite, tolerance, and business strategy
  • Delivery of a broad suite of risk management activities including Risk and Control self-assessments
  • Provide hands-on development of risk models involving market, credit and operational risk, and assurance that controls are operating effectively
  • Conduct audits of policy and compliance with governance standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors
  • Support the CEO, as part of the Senior Management Team, to develop and implement the firm’s strategy.

Requirements

  • Flawless reputation is a must – position will be approved by the Bank of Lithuania
  • Relevant Degree/Masters qualification required
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in a relevant role in payments risk, financial risk or enterprise risk management and/or governance role
  • Excellent understanding and experience of risk management, finance, audit or other relevant disciplines
  • Strong understanding of payment institution business drivers
  • Demonstrable management experience
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent business acumen and commercial awareness, along with the ability to understand broad business issues
  • Ability to lead and work with a team with diverse backgrounds and skillsets
  • Ability to understand and assimilate complex financial issues
  • Principled independent thinker with the ability to influence and negotiate at senior levels
