We are committed to build a sustainable organization in Owens Corning (OC) Europe and accelerate OC EU transformation to leverage a €1.6B footprint by supporting all functional initiatives.  

With this vision, we are expanding our presence in Vilnius. We are aiming to move some of the key capabilities from different regions of Europe to our existing Finance Shared Service Center (FSSC) in Vilnius. Our ambition is to expand and transform the current Finance Shared Service Center systemically, step by step into the future Owens Corning European Capability Center in Vilnius.  

We are now hiring this new role of HR Manager to be part of this critical mission. This role plays a key role in realizing our vision in Vilnius through effective and inspiring people practices. The person in this position will report to the HR Business Leader for EU Corporate functions based in the Netherlands.  

The HR Manager partners with key functional leaders and the local Capability Center Leader to implement the execution of the people strategy in the capability center and takes direct responsibility in developing and executing the end-to-end HR processes.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Build the Capability Center to become a strategic asset for Owens Corning in Europe. 
  • Enable the business strategy through local HR strategy and implement the strategy effectively.  
  • Build strong partnerships with our key functional directors and EU HR community.   
  • Having a Talent developing mindset with the ability to partner with many diverse cultures across Europe.
  • Deep local HR knowledge and good understanding of the local talent market.  
  • Developing, optimizing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy and country HR strategy. 
  • Developing and managing the staffing and go to market strategy to ensure the right talents in the right positions at the right time. 
  • Support current and future business needs by providing the HR support in employee development & engagement. 
  • Nurture a positive working environment. 
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout Human Resource Management. 
  • Establish structures & processes to become the first contact for employees for all HR-related inquiries & requests in the capability center.
  • Build partnerships and solicit feedback from internal and external business partners to define and develop successful, scalable processes and practices.

Requirements

  • Relevant Bachelor’s,  Master’s and / or MBA degree in e.g. HR, Finance or Business. 
  • 8+ years of work experience within the field of HR Shared Services and HRBP (generalist), preferably in an international matrix environment. 
  • Experienced in stakeholder management of senior business and HR leaders and works councils. 
  • Experienced and skilled in project management. 
  • Transformation/implementation experience is desired.
  • Demonstrated track record in working through complex HR  issues.
  • Proven track record in implementing HR strategies that contribute to business growth.
  • Leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic, complex environment.
  • Previous experience in an international context, understanding diverse cultural nuances and global HR practices.
