The Team

Real Estate Finance is developing and maintaining Mortgage Loans from start to end and have a system portfolio of more than 100 systems and millions lines of code. The established team in Vilnius works jointly with Real Estate Finance teams in Denmark and India and are responsible for their own portfolio of systems. All systems are “homemade” (own developed) as it is not possible to buy a standard Mortgage System as the Mortgage Model is unique to Denmark.

We do not only work with loans – we support the Danish society with funding in almost everything from family houses over factories and wind turbines – a large part of Denmark is financed through loans running through our IT systems.

Vilnius team is owning all systems related to property area in Real Estate Finance. This includes highly complex calculations, for example LTV (Loan to Value). Since the systems are integrated with the infrastructure of the Danish government and they are planning to redo this infrastructure we need to rethink this whole area and that will give the new team the opportunity to take responsibly for systems they re-build themselves.

The Tech

We mainly build our systems on IBM Mainframes, since they have proven to be solid and able to handle the amount of transactions and data we store daily in and highly efficient way.

You will be working with tools from IBM Rational Suite creating mortgage loan systems mainly based on Mainframe:  DB2, COBOL and PL/1. Technical experience with any of the technologies mentioned above is not a requirement – we are looking for developers who can create solid solutions - we will train the specific language skills.  

The team in Vilnius consist of Architects, Business Analysts, Developers and run projects using Agile principles.
