Job Description
As a Master Data Specialist you are responsible for completing requests for master data creations, changes and deletions according Master Data Governance policies and standards for procured materials, services and related data objects at a global level. Verify that information given in the request, meets standards and material data definition is accurate and there are no duplicates. You act in close co-operation with Production, Materials warehousing, Finance, Procurement, Plant engineering and Plant maintenance.
Individual accountabilities:
- Create and maintain the master data objects accordance agreed SLA’s
- Reviewing that the information given in the request, is according standards and suppliers requirement for identification.
- Enrichment of data, according information from supplier’s databases.
- Additional info requests for materials that does not meet standards.
- Escalate data governance issues to the data manager and global data governance lead as required
- Carry out harmonization, replacement and duplicate reduction processes
- Ensure compliance of material descriptions with defined templates and patterns
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant work experience
- Solid professional with 2-5 years of experience preferred related for materials
- Good English, knowledge of other Outokumpu local languages is an asset
- Experience and knowledge of working with SAP MM is an asset
- Ability to handle data requests from different areas
- Basic understanding technical documents and drawings
- Process oriented, strong attention for detail
