Network Administrator

Job Description

  • Own and operate the full network estate (~25 devices) across a primary datacenter, DR colocation site, and hybrid cloud (Hetzner), including BGP routing for a /24 IPv4 block with dual ISPs.
  • Configure, maintain, and secure Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet, and OPNsense platforms to meet strict availability, performance, and security SLAs.
  • Manage firewall policies, oversee ISP-managed IDS, and ensure ongoing PCI-DSS compliance with full audit documentation.
  • Maintain and enhance monitoring (LibreNMS, Prometheus, Loki or similar), proactively detect issues, and respond rapidly to incidents, including participation in a compensated on-call rotation.
  • Mentor a junior network administrator and coordinate with ISPs, datacenters, vendors, and international internal teams.

Requirements

Minimal requirements:

  • 4–7 years of hands-on experience as a Network Administrator.
  • Strong experience with Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet, and/or OPNsense.
  • Solid understanding of BGP, routing, and WAN connectivity.
  • Proven firewall and network security experience.
  • Experience with VPN, IPSec, and secure tunneling.
  • Familiarity with monitoring stacks (LibreNMS, Prometheus, Loki, or similar).
  • Experience with load balancing (HAProxy or similar).
  • Excellent troubleshooting, judgment, and ownership mindset.
  • Fluency in Lithuanian and professional proficiency in English.

Nice to have qualifications:

  • Experience with PCI-DSS or similar regulatory frameworks.
  • Background in financial services or regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting multi-datacenter environments.
  • Exposure to network automation (Ansible, Terraform).
  • Experience mentoring or training junior engineers.
