Job Description
The holder of this position must coordinate the cooperation between his/her area of work with all other areas of the corporation in such a manner that the flow of information is always free of friction, unimpeded, and a holistically positive coordination is assured.
- Order management
- Planning and execution of shipment orders as well as their administrative execution
- Customs procedure (Export/Import)
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The person is responsible for:
- Editing and maintaining jobs (Exports /Imports)
- Performing a “Routing Check”, specifically in regards to the selection and combination of different transport models (airplane, car, train, Aerolink)
- Ordering drivers (pickup / delivery of shipments at the customer, delivery / pickup of shipments at the freight-company)
- Checking collected shipments in the office and prepares them for transport
- Booking and pre advising shipments
- Monitoring shipments during the transport and reacts flexibly to any deviation from the plan
- Checking the planned departure or arrival times of flights (“Post Flight Check”)
- Checking the internal debits and credits
- Working securely with all pertinent regulations (ADR / DGR / IATA) as well as the relevant laws and ordinances
- Communicating with national and international stations / Aerolink / agents
- Building and maintaining relationships to contractors / transporters
- Preparing documentation and checking transport documents
Requirements
- Fluency in English (written and verbal communication skills)
- Relevant experience in freight forwarding/logistics would be consider as a benefit
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and strong sense of responsibility
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Willingness to travel
- Flexible in respect to working hours
