Job Description

Government Relations: - Provides support to engage local government representatives (community leader, elder, mayor, counsellors to carry out community engagement and communication activities. - Develops stakeholder engagement plans for the areas of operations. Provides counsel on local and regional l government relations strategies. Builds relationships throughout the local and regional government and as needed, serves as one of the company’s principal contacts with local officials. - Monitors requests, claims, grievances, communications, and needs from community members and local government officials as well as media inquiries and provides insight and support to the PGPA Manager to develop and implement actions to address concerns and to enhance company reputation in the areas of operation. - Identifies and manages existing and emerging issues which can impact the company’s reputation and/or business. Social Investments/Community Engagement: - Assess and diagnose social needs and opportunities to leverage company’s active participation. - Serves as a public representative for field-level stakeholder engagement and leads the development and implementation of Social Investment projects and Plan. - Engages and builds relations with local community leaders to identify and implement programs which meets the local communities’ needs and are aligned with the company’s strategies. - Leads the development and implementation of field-level external stakeholder engagement plans. - Ensures Social Investments/Community Engagement strategies are coordinated and aligned with the Business Unit and Operating Company. - Monitors and evaluates results of social investment programs and prepares communication material (presentations, photos, videos, booklets, fact sheets) and suggested strategy to broadly communicate our social investment activities locally and at national level. Internal Stakeholder Alignment: - Works with Qualified ESHIA Facilitators (QEFs), Health, Environment and Safety (HES) Advisors and staff of the project team (including Operations, Drilling, Procurement/SCM etc.) to ensure appropriate PGPA involvement in projects, including ESHIA and field-level stakeholder engagement and delivery of management plans. Communications and Media Relations: - Assists Country Manager and PGPA Manager in interfacing with the local media by assisting in the development and implementation of a media strategy. - Contributes in the preparation of communications material, including holding statements, news releases, media response material, emergency communications, and media briefings. - Works with PGPA Manager and PR Agency to support, attend and organize external events in the operations area.

Requirements

Essential Skills / Qualifications: -Communications / public relations Degree or equivalent -Previous experience in a similar role desirable -Fluent in Lithuanian and English
