Product Owner, Compliance Systems and Analytics – Vilnius, Lithuania

Western Union is seeking a strategic, data-driven, and execution-focused Product Owner to join our Compliance Systems and Analytics (CSA) team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering the vision and roadmap of a critical platform that will support our global risk and compliance functions.
This involves working cross-functionally with Operations, Policy, Data, and Technology to understand our various global compliance needs, user personas, and competition to formulate requirements, and deliver impactful solutions to our users.
Role Responsibilities
• Partner with Risk and Compliance teams to understand regulatory trends, pain points, and future-state needs.
• Deliver the product strategy to align with business priorities, ever-changing regulatory mandates, and enterprise modernization
• Support outcome-oriented roadmaps for systems such as case management, investigations, regulatory reporting, and audit.
• Use data to inform prioritization, evaluate product performance (KPIs), and identify product opportunities.
• Understand user and stakeholder needs and gather product requirements, prioritizing them based on business impact.
• Foster relationships with stakeholders and communicate workstream status, issues, and risks on a regular cadence.
• Translate strategic project requirements into clear, prioritized product Epics, Features, and User Stories.
• Lead and coordinate mid-sized projects, including research, analysis, documentation, design/develop testing, training, status reporting, implementation, and post-rollout review and audit.
• Partner with cross-functional teams through discovery, development, and deployment while ensuring timelines, scope, and quality targets are met.
• Ensure backlog is shoveled by meeting the Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) to support effective planning and delivery.
• Collaborate with technical, compliance, and operational stakeholders to align on requirements, dependences, and business outcomes.
• Connect with our user base to understand their needs and identify innovative solutions.

Requirements
• Solid experience and proven track record of compliance knowledge, preferably in the financial services.
• Strong product ownership or business analysis experience.
• Ability to go beyond order-taking, strong problem solver with transformative mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English language (verbally and written).
• Ability to work independently and challenge the status quo.
• Technical knowledge with AWS, Snowflake (preferred), Jira, Reich and/or Figma.
Nice to have
• Knowledge of SQL and Python is considered as a plus.
• Experience with regulatory/compliance systems (Hummingbird, Palantir, OFAC tools) is evaluated as an advantage.

• The monthly gross base salary range is 3,250 – 4,550 EUR.
• This role is also eligible for an annual variable target incentive (which may include long-term incentives, if eligible) that aligns with individual and company performance.
