Requirements

  • Experience: 5 years of leadership experience within manufacturing. Experience from textiles and apparel is a plus.
  • Methodology: Solid understanding of Lean, JIT, and process optimization. Hands-on experience with continuous improvement is essential.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of cost-benefit analysis, investment payback, and how operations drive financial results.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and data-driven production planning. Experience with incentive or piecework systems is an advantage.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage stakeholders and coordinate international production or satellite factories.
  • Communication: Fluency in English is essential.

About the role

The Production Manager oversees and supports all production activities, ensuring that products are made efficiently, on time, and to the required quality standards. The role acts as a key link between departments internally, as well as externally towards Devold of Norway (DoN) and Devold Retail (DR) regarding delivery times, capacity, and coordination. The Production Manager is responsible for optimizing workflows, coordinating people, materials, and equipment, and driving continuous improvement across the production. This position is central to ensuring smooth production flow, efficient resource utilization, and a strong link between daily operations and long-term strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead & organize operations: Oversee and organize daily production across knitting, sewing, and finishing to ensure timely, high-quality output.
  • Strategic coordination: Work closely with the Norwegian organization on capacity planning, delivery times, and forecasting.
  • Continuous improvement: Drive a culture of LEAN and process optimization to eliminate bottlenecks and minimize waste.
  • Stakeholder management: Coordinate with external partners and satellite factories to secure a stable production flow.
  • Budget & strategy: Represent production in strategic discussions regarding investments, cost efficiency, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Culture & safety: Promote a culture of workplace safety, quality, and teamwork throughout the production organization.
