Satellite Operations Engineer (NIGHT SHIFT)

Our Software team is looking for a for a Ground station Satellite Operations engineer who will monitor and track launched satellites in different orbits using our internal software. Communication with clients around the Globe and close work with our engineers will be your everyday routine. Do not miss your chance and join NanoAvionics team!

Responsibilities:

• Maintain launched satellite and monitor the parameters using in-house software.
• Ensure smooth communication with the satellite over different ground station services.
• Communicate with customers and manage their queries and incoming tasks.
• Carry out additional client-created requests.
• Closely collaborate with flight and mission control software developers.
• Handle alerts, inform accountable colleagues in case of emergency situations.
• Work with changing working hours, depending on the position of the satellites in different orbits (night shift from 22:00 to 06:00).
• Automate daily tasks using various scripting languages or tools.  

• Sysadmin / Infrastructure Engineering experience. 
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Bachelor / Master degree of Physics, Computer Science or IT would be an advantage.
• Experience in programming and using cloud services like AWS would be an advantage.
• Interest in physics / space / engineering.
