Scientist (223664BR)

The candidate will be involved in development of new manufacturing technologies and optimization of existing ones for Molecular Biology business. Scientist will be working in organic/process chemistry field, develop new technological pathways in manufacturing industry, ensure timely support for critical issues and customer complaints solving, participate in innovation, process development and transfer projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Provides technical leadership on products/methods development and troubleshooting.
• Gives effective scientific and business-related presentations internally.
• Independently prepare documents (SOP’s, instructions, plans and reports of process development) using background in the field.
• Chips in well-considered ideas for new products and identifies new technologies of significant value to one or more product areas.
• Presents proposals and project updates when required
• Designs and performs laboratory experiments independently.
• Attends scientific conferences and presents work through posters and publications.
• Begins to give ideas for new products and improvements to procedures
• Applies PCP and Design Excellence principles and can be core team lead or technical lead.

• Has a strong knowledge of relevant scientific fields.
• Demonstrates skill in all laboratory procedures and use of equipment.
• Analyzes data, and explains conclusions. Designs and drives follow-on experiments independently.
• Mentors less-experienced staff with technical issues and project challenges.
• Maintains an accurate and detailed lab notebook.
• Uses word processing, graphing, presentation and spreadsheet programs.
• Commmunicates and presents technical, project, and IP summaries to broader internal or external audiences.
• Understands the technical vision/mission of the department and company.
• Begins to build a track record of successful products that make meaningful contribution to the company
• Uses the project management and company systems.
• Reinforces strong links with other departments (Marketing/Operations)
