Senior Android Engineer, VGo Carrier Technology

At Vinted, Android engineers are integral members of cross-functional product teams, working alongside backend and web engineers, QA, product managers, designers, and decision scientists to build products used by millions.

Vinted Go, the logistics arm of Vinted Group, operates an end-to-end shipping network with its own driver app, sorting centers, and pickup/drop-off points across Europe and the USA.

We’re looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join our team working on Point of Sale (POS), a growing new business line for Vinted Go Shops.

Our Shop app helps parcel shop staff with their day-to-day work, from handling parcels to supporting customers. With POS, shops will be able to accept secure in-person payments directly in the app.

You’ll be the sole Android engineer on the team, so the role comes with a lot of autonomy and ownership. You’ll help shape the Android architecture, move quickly through experiments and iterations, and have a clear impact on a growing product as we work toward product-market fit.

• Design, build, and maintain high-quality Android features using Kotlin and modern Android technologies.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, data experts, designers, and QA to deliver end-to-end payment experiences.
• Contribute to the architecture and evolution of a modular Android codebase.
• Use feature flags, experimentation, and observability to deliver changes safely.
• Participate in design discussions, RFCs, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Continuously improve engineering practices, code quality, and developer experience.

• Extensive experience building Android applications with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Strong understanding of Android architecture (MVVM, Coroutines/Flow), testing, and maintainable software design.
• Product-minded, with the ability to make technical decisions aligning to user and business goals.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and fast-paced, iterative environments, using data and user feedback to improve products.
• Leveraging AI-driven engineering tools and workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with payments, NFC, or other hardware-integrated mobile applications is a plus.
