Job Description

We are looking for a colleague who would join our Ignitis Renewables team and will be responsible for providing technical support to the Offshore Substation (OSS) package in all activities related to the LV & Auxiliary Systems design, certification, and procurement of the Offshore Substation for an offshore wind project in the Lithuanian Baltic Sea. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:

  • Developing project specifications, requirements and tender documents for the OSS
  • Developing a technical assessment of different proposals, conclusions and recommendations
  • Collaborating with other engineering disciplines (HV Electrical, Mechanical, SCADA, Structural, HSE, O&M, etc.) to integrate subsystem designs into the overall structure
  • Reviewing design drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Proposing solutions to design issues and making modifications as necessary based on feedback from stakeholders and regulatory authorities
  • Participating in Factory Acceptance, Harbor Acceptance and Site Acceptance Tests, ensuring that the LV Electrical & Auxiliary Systems comply with the Employer’s Requirements
  • Acting as the focal point within the OSS Team for all the LV & Auxiliary technical interfaces with the OSS designer and external consulting companies and ensuring risks are addressed and minimized or closed out.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in OSS design and construction of offshore wind farms
  • Proven work experience as LV Electrical and Auxiliary Systems engineer in at least one offshore wind farm project, including the detail design and manufacturing phase
  • Proven Experience with the following OSS systems and subsystems: LV Switchgear, Batteries, Inverters and Rectifiers, HVA/C, Fire Detection & Fire Fighting, Lighting (Normal/Emergency/Escape) and Small Power Distribution, Earthing & Lightning Protection, LV Diesel Generators, PA/GA, CCTV, Access Control systems, CMS, ICCP, Navigation / Aviation Aids, Telecom Systems
  • Strong knowledge of international standards and regulations applicable to low voltage systems and offshore installations (e.g., IEC, IEEE, DNV)
  • Experience in working with multi-disciplinary and intercultural project teams
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
