Staff Scientist (189779BR)

How will you make an impact?

Our team in Vilnius is looking for Staff Scientist, who will focus on development of new biopharmaceutical products, QC methods and preparation of methods validation plans. You will also work with reports, experiments of methods validation, methods transfer to Operations, continuous support of the products and troubleshooting.

What will you do?

• Designing and carrying out research and development program.
• Validation / verification of analytical methods in accordance with ICH guidelines and / or customer requirements.
• Providing technical leadership on methods development and troubleshooting.
• Effective presentations internally.
• Maintaining in-depth knowledge of relevant fields and techniques. Advising senior management on complex technology issues.
• Independently preparing documents (SOP’s, instructions, plans and reports of methods development and validation).
• Supporting other departments by providing scientific guidance, such as troubleshooting and technical services.
• Contributing ideas for new products and identifying new technologies of significant value to one or more product areas.
• Collaborating with external commercial partners.
• Identifying, initiating and organizing methods development tasks and activities of transfer to Operations.
• Presents proposals and project updates when required.

How will you get here?

• Degree in the area Life Sciences, Bioengineering or Biotechnology (MS and PhD preferred).
• Extensive work experience in the molecular biology and biochemistry fields.
• Strong knowledge of relevant scientific fields and subject matter expert in specific technical area.
• Knowledge and experience in laboratory procedures and use of equipment.
• Experience in analysing experimental data, ability effectively explain the outcomes and conclusions. Independently designing and executing follow-on experiments.
• Research of relevant scientific areas continuously building expertise in those areas. Following recent developments in the scientific community, market and competitors
• Effective communication skills with colleagues and senior stakeholders and other departments.
• Experience in mentoring junior team members.
• Track record of successful complex scientific or product development contributions / ideas.
• Good at multitasking and leading multiple projects.
• Highly motivated to work in high pace environment, committed to complete all tasks on time.
• Possess strong team skills in a collaborative and transparent working environment
