Job Description

In your role you will be responsible for the management and on-going development of staff and procedures to analyze activity by agents of Western Union and its affiliates to minimize exposure of the company to potential risk at agent onboarding and throughout their lifecycle, as well as maintain agents’ information and capability to operate in a compliant fashion.

Responsible for anti-money laundering (AML) requirements for assigned functions. Decision-making responsibility may be shared with successive management levels.
Plays a key role as a liaison between the AML Compliance Department and front-line business personnel, addressing inquiries related to business growth and compliance.
Responsible for analyzing trends and developing recommendations for business policies. Supervises multiple staff members, forecasts staffing needs, and allocates resources to ensure the timely completion of work.
Responsible for developing and motivating staff to achieve departmental objectives. Possesses a general working knowledge of management practices, as well as strong professional and administrative, problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
Executes policies that may affect the organizational unit and coordinates activities with stakeholders outside the department, as appropriate.

Requirements

Ability to manage projects and supervise up to 15 employees.
Knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) compliance policies and procedures is an advantage.
Understanding of applicable Money Services Business regulatory requirements, the Bank Secrecy Act, and their impact on the business.
Ability to mentor team members. Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
