Job Description
We are looking for a Development Manager to strengthen the Intelligence, Strategy and Regulation team in Heat Division, which operates in the Nordic countries, Baltic countries and Poland. Heat sales are 26 TWh and electricity sales 6,5 TWh. During the introduction period you will be located in Espoo, Finland. Thereafter, location in another of Fortum's countries will be possible.
The Intelligence, Strategy and Regulation team is responsible for district heating/CHP related strategic and regulatory market knowledge, development and implementation. We are currently developing our best-practice proposals as prioritised regulatory remedies which will create the basic knowledge and input towards our regulatory stakeholders.
Your role will be to manage and develop Fortum's internal and external regulatory knowledge network and information sharing as well as develop and promote regulatory best-practices in selected areas, e.g. access regimes in heat networks, pricing of CHP products and incentive-based regulation. In addition, you will manage and communicate legislative and regulatory analysis and improvement proposals in prioritised countries as well as support the division's growth activities in relation to in-depth regulatory risk assessments and investment considerations.

Requirements
We expect you to have experience from working in the energy business as industry analyst, regulator or consultant for at least five years. You also understand the basics of heating and electricity production and heat distribution and have gained experience from working in an international business environment. Experience from working in or with the Baltic countries or Poland is especially valued.
In addition, you have strong conceptual and analytical skills and an economical way of thinking, combined with excellent written and oral communication skills as well as fluency in written and oral English. You also need to be ready to travel on a regular basis.
