Job Description

ForumCiv is a civil society member organisation that works with development issues from a rights-based perspective. Our vision is “a just and sustainable world where all people have the power to effect change”. We work with advocacy and capacity building of partner organisations around the world, on issues relating to democracy and human rights. Our HQ is in Stockholm, we have Regional Offices in Eastern Europe, Eastern Africa, Latin America and country offices in Cambodia, Liberia and Somalia. ForumCiv was founded in 1995 and is the largest civil society platform in Sweden with about 140 member organisations.

 

ForumCiv Eastern Europe, based in Vilnius, Lithuania is responsible for design and implementation of programmes, advocacy and communication activities in the region of Western Balkans, Eastern Partnership countries and Central Asia.

 

Currently, ForumCiv is implementing Sida and EU funded programmes aimed on support of civil society development in Belarus. Programmes consist of capacity development, advocacy and grant mechanisms designed to enhance respect of human rights, fundamental freedoms, and democratic governance in Belarus. In order to expand our work, we are recruiting Administration Officer/Compliance, based in Vilnius. The initial employment period is three years, with possibility of extension.

 

 

Areas of responsibility:

Primary responsibility of Administration Officer/Compliance is to administer EU funded project, including assuring all administrative requirements of donor are met, supporting and controlling other implementing partners as well as providing logistical support for the implementation of activities. This includes but is not limited to:

 

  • Support in organisation of circulation and archiving of administrative documents
  • Support in creating and maintaining reference files/records (electronic and paper) and filing of documents related to the above processes;
  • Perform general clerical duties including but not limited to: photocopying, mail distribution and filing
  • Support and control other implementing partners assuring compliance to the requirements and conditions of the project.
  • Organizing and coordinating of conferences and trainings
  • Reviewing and updating organizational policies and ensuring they are observed.

Requirements

Qualifications required:

  • University/college degree Business, Administration, Finance (students 2nd year included)
  • Up to 2 years’ experience (employment or internship) performing administrative or assistance tasks;
  • Experience in using standard PC software packages including word processor, financial programmes and email packages.
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan own work, set priorities and complete it under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multicultural, international team.
  • Fluency in Lithuanian, working knowledge of English and Russian language
  • Understanding of general administration principles and practices, experience with EU funded projects is advantageous.

Company offers

Net salary range: 1000 – 1100 EUR

Expected start date: 1st December 2021
