Job Description








    Baristas take orders from guests and create beverages, check on guest satisfaction and handle the payment and complaints/concerns of customers.

    Essential Functions
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of all new and current equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
  • Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
  • Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
  • Answer questions on menu/beverage selections for guests
  • Be knowledgeable on allergies, dietary restrictions and special requests in beverages/food items
  • Operate Micros, handle cash, room charges, guest member charges and credit card charges according to procedures
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each beverage/food item
  • Clean and maintain work stations during operational hours
  • Communicate with guests regarding menu questions, the length of wait, and product availability
  • Complete closing duties, including restocking items, locking coolers, turning off lights, etc.
  • Present physical and accurate check to guests and process payments
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Captains or Managers

Any combination of experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to effectively fulfill the duties of this job description. High school diploma required. College degree required.


Two years of experience in similar position.

Computer Skill & Other Technical Skills:

Ability to utilize computer software and hardware as required.

Ability to learn, utilize and communicate effectively via company issued communication devices (e.g. Resort Radios, etc).


Advanced ability to comprehend and speak English to understand and respond to information and address advanced guest requests required both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of additional language(s) preferred.

Licenses or Certifications:



Must be customer-service oriented and have excellent hospitality skills.
