CHIEF ACCOUNTANT

REHAU is establishing a cutting edge production facility in Klaipeda, Lithuania. The facility, which will be located in Klaipeda Free Economic Zone (FEZ), will manufacture microduct systems for optical-fiber cables and is set to employ 55 specialists with a potential to expand in the future. Therefore the company is looking for a Chief Accountant to run accounting of a new legal entity.

Job responsibilities:

• The company's own bookkeeping in accordance with local regulations and Group GAAP.
• Preparation of the monthly and annual financial statements and closing process of the financial month and year.
• Fixed asset accounting, inventory accounting, accruals, etc.
• Taxation: direct communication with the State Tax Inspectorate (VMI) on various financial issues, information on tax changes.
• Calculation, cost accounting, financing/banking.
• Calculating and preparing billing and taxation for packaging.
• Contracts management, reviews and support from an accounting point of view.
• Communication with the auditors for the annual audit and balance sheet preparation, submission of documents and explanations, etc.
• Fuel billing and calculating depreciation of company vehicles.
• Management of financial and partly administrative documentation.
• Direct resolution of operational issues that arise in daily work, that are related to finance.
• Active participation in the annual inventory: preparation of inventories and their descriptions, documentation of the results of the inventory.

• University Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 3 years working experience as a Senior GL or Chief Accountant (at least some experience in a manufacturing company)
• Knowledge of IAS / IFRS
• Experience with ERP system
• Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
• Good English language skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of legal tax requirements (VAT, Income tax, etc.)
