Compliance Officer (maternity cover)

Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the compliance function in Lithuania to ensure compliance with the payment regulations by developing and enhancing tools and measures, continuously monitoring regulatory updates and implementing necessary adjustments in a payment institution (Payment Initiation and Account Information Service Provider).
  • Work closely with MLRO and Global Head of Compliance across all areas of compliance.
  • Work closely with the Global Head of Compliance in developing regular monitoring procedures and practices to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal systems of control and measures implemented by Yapily.
  • Maintain the relationship with the Bank of Lithuania and act as the primary point of contact for any correspondence or inquiries.
  • Provide day-to-day support, guidance and training to other business functions on compliance-related matters, fostering a culture of compliance and accountability within the organisation.
  • Prepare and submit required reports, documentation, and filings to the management, incl. the Board, and regulatory authorities, as appropriate.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and audits to assess the effectiveness of existing compliance procedures and recommend improvements as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in as compliance/anti-financial crime officer in a Lithuanian financial services institution.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced financial services environment before.
  • Fluent English.
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory compliance compliance in a regulated financial services environment in Lithuania.
  • Proactive personality and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance or related fields.
