Data Engineer

Developing applications for the investment and research team working for an international hedge fund. important to have experience with MS .net/power bi and other MS environment integration.

• A person with past work experience in designing large data bases / strong on thinking through and implementing data base schema
• Understand the day-to-day issues that our business faces, which can be better understood with data
• Compile and analyze data related to business issues
• Develop clear visualizations to convey complicated data in a straightforward fashion

The ideal candidates will use their passion for big data and analytics to provide insights to the business covering a range of topics. They will be responsible for conducting both recurring andad- hoc analysis for business users.

• Demonstrated experience with Big Data, ETL tools, and Spark, with proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL
• Proven ability to design and implement efficient and scalable data pipelines for cleaning, transforming, and loading data
• Familiarity with various forms of storage (e.g., HDFS, Object Storage, S3) and data formats (e.g., AVRO, Parquet, JSON, XML)
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Airflow and Github, as well as cloud technologies like AWS, Azure
• Exposure to Data Modelling techniques and databases, with knowledge of data governance and BI presentation as a bonus
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles, with a history of supporting and mentoring other data engineers
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and leading data engineering technologies
