Data & Reporting Analyst

This role will focus on analyzing, enhancing and reporting data to support our internal decision-making process.

The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the quality, accuracy, timeliness and effectiveness of MI across the business to transform this data into information that can be utilized to make informed business decisions and actions, while meeting regulatory reporting requirements.

• Understand the data sets at the company’s disposal and extract in a meaningful manner
• Make data and related reports available to the rest of the organization
• Support the development and eventually own our data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, MicroStrategy, Sisense and R)
• Deliver daily, weekly and month-end reporting/analysis and management information
• Define and create additional reporting using a wealth of, as-yet, untapped data to better understand the business, its opportunities and risks
• Act as a business partner to all stakeholders and senior management, helping to deliver profitable commercial outcomes
• Working closely with the finance team, operational finance and compliance teams to ensure consistency and integrity of information prepared and disseminated
• Perform data modelling to support commercial decision-making, including for example trend analysis, pricing analysis and commercial proposals
• Build reports of finance related KPIs in a clear and accessible manner for non-finance staff
• Work closely with software engineering team to transform raw data into MI worthy information
• Define data dictionaries with the help of technology team for enabling business users to use data in meaningful way
• Ensure new technologies, methods and data sources are identified and used.
• Contribute to the continued success and efficiency of the company by carrying out additional ad-hoc tasks & project work as may be required from time-to-time

The Person:

• Significant experience of working with data, and its manipulation to add value
• Ability to write in-depth and complex reports
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Very strong reporting/data manipulation skills including:
  • SQL language proficiency
  • Data / database modelling & design
  • ETL (Extract, Transfer, Load) scripting
  • Data warehouse knowledge
  • Data visualization software knowledge and analysis
  • Advanced Excel capabilities
• Excellent ability to present data and information in a way that is meaningful to their recipients
• Strong project experience with specific focus on reporting capabilities and deliverables
• Attention to detail, adherence to existing procedures and the desire to strive to improve processes
• Problem solving skills and the ability to be pro-active
• Self-motivated, able to work with minimum supervision
• Demonstrates effective communication skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels
• Ability to work with and thrive in a fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environment
• Detailed knowledge of data protection regulation and the practical application of GDPR
• Fluent in English

• Monthly salary (brutto) from €3,000. The final level of the salary will depend on competences displayed and results achieved. The salary may be further negotiable for candidates of outstanding competence and qualification.
