Deployment Engineer/ Tech Lead

STRATEGIC STAFFING SOLUTIONS INTERNATIONAL (S3I) with 31 locations in U.S and 7 in Europe is a Supplier of Managed Services, IT solutions & Services and Staffing for many international companies across US and Europe.

Currently our client, financial services company, is expanding their team and are looking for:

Deployment Engineer/ Tech Lead

Responsibilities:
• Leading technical delivery of technology solutions and products.
• Staff motivation, career planning, personnel development and training of team members to ensure right skills & people attributes continue to develop within the team.
• The 4th line development activities across a global desktop estate supporting over 150k colleagues
• Ownership and Delivery of technical products and solutions by the engineering teams in within their area.
• Ensuring high-level technical plans, visions and mission statements are converted into detailed designs and correctly engineered solutions.
• Contributing to Technology Strategy in own area
• Contributing to the development of Architecture patterns, principles and standards
• Problem management and escalation; Root cause analysis, impact assessment, problem resolution, communication and stakeholder management.
• Responsible for maintaining consistent Global platforms across GRB, managing delivery across multiple teams not within direct line management
• Driving and supporting a transformational agenda to converge multiple legacy platforms to a single strategic platform

Requirements:
• Expert knowledge of the history of platforms, systems and infrastructure
• Experience in the production of detailed technical designs from execution plans and or vision documents
• Good knowledge of all the major components in relevant technical area
• Competency in discussing core Windows technologies in detail
• Good Knowledge of ITIL
• Knowledge of key technologies in the following areas:
• Windows Server and Client Operating Systems
• Apple Operating Systems
• Configuration Management and automated provisioning and deployment systems and technology especially, SCCM, MDT, BDD
• Thin Client Technology
• Citrix – XenApp and XenDesktop
• VMWare
• Directory Services
• Windows security – IPSEC, GPOs, Antivirus, patching, endpoint security, encryption.

Knowledge of the following is beneficial:

• Architecture Frameworks and Methodologies e.g. TOGAF
• Business Analysis Frameworks & Methodologies
• Project Management disciplines
• Service Management disciplines
