Job Description

The Engineering Manager serves Plant Operations, Global Engineering, and New Product Development (NPD). Responsible for leading project teams and individuals, process development, and providing technical expertise in support of and compatible with Hollister’s Mission and Vision.

Job responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct engineering staff in diverse activities such as planning projects and completing assigned tasks to meet or exceed the established timeline, budget and key project deliverables.
  • Overall management for the design and development of equipment effectively utilizing the Engineering Team's resources to maximize Hollister's return on invested capital.
  • Manage supplier relationships in the procurement of key equipment in conjunction with Libertyville and other Hollister facilities.
  • Oversee the creation, completion, evaluation and approval of all documentation within engineering processes.
  • Responsible for the development of all capital expenditure requirements (AFE process) including the completeness, accuracy and post-performance measures (ROI, NPV, any impairment analysis).
  • Provide resources to the plant fixed asset associate regarding identification, location, physical inventories, impaired assessment, etc. of Hollister Capital assets.

 

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, including project management experience
  • Degree in Engineering or similar field
  • Fluency in English
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, with ISO and FDA experience in a medical device manufacturing environment preferred
  • Greenbelt certification with knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies preferred
