Job Description

Bankera is looking for a Financial Manager to take care of primary accounting and cash flow management needs, including the assessment of financial implications from various decisions and growth opportunities. The accepted candidate will get to interact with all areas of the organisation, from launching new products to getting involved in licencing applications. Financial Manager will be reporting directly to the CEO and is expected to grow into the CFO of our organisation on our journey into a leading digital bank.

You should find it interesting to:

• Prepare and submit quarterly financial statements to the supervisor


• Make financial statements and take all the pain of the financial audit together with the Accountant


• Prepare and automate various daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management and clients


• Write specifications for the IT team regarding bookkeeping policies and be willing to automate the processes on your own


• Reconcile with a growing number of counterparties (business parties, as well as clients)


• Control and track expenses, as well as propose suggestions to optimize business functions


• Continuously monitor the organisation’s compliance with financial regulatory requirements to optimize our assets, liabilities, and cash flows


• Develop strategies for managing FX risks related to multi-currency accounts and payment cards


• Work closely with the organisation’s management and product owners to drive financial targets and operational goals


• Help with decision-making related to new initiatives, products, and business opportunities


• Report financial results to the senior management

Requirements

• Perfect analytical and numerical skills


• Experience in Accounting or Corporate Finance, preferably at a small or medium enterprise


• Capability to deal with very complex systems


• General understanding of IFRS


• General knowledge of financial markets and financial products


• Experience with VBA, R, MATLAB, Python or similar


• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint


• ACCA or ACA is an advantage, while CFA is an even bigger advantage


• Familiarity with CRR, CRD IV, EBA guidelines


• Degree in Finance, Economics or Mathematics is preferable


• Fluency in English
