Job Description
As a Head of Compliance you will own the compliance function of the European business division. You will report directly to CEO and will assist the UK leadership team not only by establishing, developing and maintaining the AML/CFT compliance framework which complies with legislative and regulatory best practice for the UK and European operations but also by setting up and managing the day to day procedures of the business. Your detailed understanding of AML regulation and emerging trends, strong track record of industry experience in a senior level compliance role will be a key to success in contributing to the company’s vision of becoming a substantial stand-alone business within the Dahabshiil Group of companies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the UK management team with licensing in all regulatory jurisdictions
- Keep close communication with banks and other financial institutions
- Represent the company and run day-to-day business operations
- Implement and manage AML/CTF program
- Maintain compliance monitoring program
- Liaise with legal advisors, regulators, auditors, top management and other stakeholders
- Review all current policies and procedures to ensure systems/controls are in place to meet regulatory obligations
- Assist the UK management team in any office running related questions
Requirements
- Good knowledge of multi-jurisdictional regulatory requirements across Lithuania and Europe
- Experience in implementing AML/CTF regulations via internal policies and procedures
- Experience in maintaining compliance monitoring programs
- Experience in working within similar field (payments / money transferring) would be a huge plus
- Experience in directly liaising with and reporting to regulators, auditors, top management and other stakeholders
- Ability to represent the company at all levels
- Experience in running day-to-day business operations / office management
- Team management experience
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Fluent English both written and spoken
