Job Description

The job holder is the coordinator for U.S. Embassy housing. In this role, the job holder is responsible for the administration of all operating leases, capital leases, and major leases. The job holder manages the logistics of housing assignments, advises the Interagency Housing Board on regulatory and technical details of assigning housing, liaises with the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations on housing matters and waivers, and chairs the Mission's make-ready meetings to ensure housing preparations are carefully coordinated to coincide with the arrival and departure of Embassy employees. This coordination role requires excellent management skills and constant communication and coordination with several offices within the U.S. Mission, and incoming and outgoing embassy staff occupying the residences. The job holder also develops working relationships with landlords and/or their respective agents and management companies in a continuing dialogue to ensure a successful housing program. The job holder must maintain housing data in the Real Property Application. The job holder must maintain all Housing records in meticulous order. Job holder is directly supervised by the General Services Officer. Job holder directly supervises the Make-Ready Property Assistant.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE: 

Minimum three years of experience in a customer service atmosphere that includes managing logistics in a real estate, marketing, sales, or administrative field is required.

 

Education Requirements:

At least two years of college or university studies is required.

 

LANGUAGE:

English and Lithuanian: fluent, speaking/reading/writing, may include the ability to translate. This may be tested.

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have a valid class B driving license.
