IOS Developer (remote or office)

Funded health start-up seeking senior self-driven iOS developer based in Vilnius with travelling days to Copenhagen, Denmark.

What will you be doing?

You will take full lead on our iOS development and report directly to the CTO where you will craft and develop our social health network as well as launch our health subscription product. You will take and have the freedom to make decisions, express yourself and improve your skills consistently. It is important to underline that we expect you to be the anchor of our iOS development, meaning that we require that you want and can think proactively in the way you develop the iOS app alongside our backend developer, android developer, CTO and product manager.

Customer’s team is on a mission to help millions of people living a healthy life and feeling confident about their body and body progress. As a product, we are a social app for weight loss support, encouragement and inspiration and we are currently building a solid health subscription product on top. It is a technology start-up based in Lithuania and Denmark. Our team of 8 unicorns are partly based in Copenhagen, Vilnius and remotely throughout Europe. After hypergrowth of over 200k users within months and recent solid venture funding, we are now expanding our team.

Your background and profile

• You have +4 years’ experience developing native iOS apps.
• You have an attention to detail in terms of user experience and find it natural to go into dialogue reg. design and UX with the product designer and business unit.
• You have experience of unit testing and other types of testing.
• You are comfortable in an agile development environment.
• You love apps, devices and challenges.
• You contribute to a good team atmosphere and help drive the process towards results and deadlines.
• Self-driven, take ownership and can manage your own projects, but also play well in a team.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Product-focused iOS application development experience
• Advanced iOS SDK, Swift and Objective-C skills
• Preferably a portfolio of consumer facing high-performance iOS applications available in the App Store
• Good understanding of design patterns and Object-Oriented Programming
• Used to working with 3rd party libraries
• Used to working with (consuming) REST APIs
• Sound computer science foundations: algorithms, data structures, concurrency, threading and programming languages (Swift and Objective-C primarily)
