IS Administrator (Backup & Restore)
Today we are looking for IS Administrator with expert level knowledge in backup and restore service support.
I am Giedrius Zlatkauskas and I am leading Backup and Restore team in Telia Lietuva. Our team members are experts in backup and restore service support. This new opportunity could really be something special for the right applicant, are you ready for a new opportunity?
Your next challenge?
Your new team, based in Kaunas and Vilnius offices, supports backup and restore services internally and externally. We also deliver solutions on backup and restore automation, patching, improvements as well as monitoring and proactive prevention of service disturbances. The team work closely with other teams and vendors to investigate, solve, upgrade and keep backup and restore services in the highest level for Telia Lietuva and all our clients.
As a member of Backup and Restore team you will have the responsibility for leading operational support, planning development and maintenance of the backup and restore service solutions including backup cloud platform administration, security and GDPR rules implementation. You will oversee areas of Incidents, Change and Problem detection.
As IS Administrator you will be responsible for:
- Performing various backup and restore support tasks - configuration, administration, deployment, etc.
- Analysis of platforms/systems/processes and initiation of necessary improvements and changes
- Timely and effective resolution of failures
- Collaboration with other supporting teams to resolve complex issues
- Adjustment of monitoring processes considering changing needs
- Meeting assigned project deadlines and work schedules
- Automation of repetitive tasks
- Backup and restore service improvement
- Backup and restore service documentation
Who are you?
You are a strong team-player with a service-oriented mindset who will independently drive your own tasks, lead service and secure the service stability, quality and target delivery on time. To fit the bill, you have worked as an Application Support Specialist, System Administrator, IT Support Specialist or Backup or Restore Administrator. Leading, planning, developing, maintaining, ensuring complex service excellence and collaborating to solve urgent incidents is something that excites you, and you excel in building strong stakeholder relationship.

Your experience:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in IT field
- At least 3 years working with enterprise size backup and restore solutions
- Experience in administrating Data Protector and Veeam tools (certificate is an advantage)
- Experience in administrating backup disk storage and backup tape libraries (certificate is an advantage)
- Knowledge of backup architectures, technologies and best practices
- Knowledge of ITIL processes (certificate is an advantage)
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux and Unix operating systems administration
- Knowledge of storage, network, SAN technologies
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms like VMware and Hyper-V
- Knowledge of BareOS/SolarWinds/Zabbix/SQL/Oracle/SAP/SharePoint/Exchange/JIRA platforms is an advantage
- Experience of Bash/PowerShell/PHP/Python scripting and automation solutions development is strong advantage
- Fluent in Lithuanian and English (spoken and written).

We offer a monthly base salary from 1800 Eur (gross) to 2700 Eur (gross) plus annual bonus which varies depending on your performance and Telia's results. Besides for each employee Telia has additional employee benefit package which includes:
