IT Project Manager, Software

We are looking for an IT Project Manager for the Outokumpu Business Services Center. As our IT Project Manager you will lead and manage international IT project team. You will be responsible for the successful implementation of your project in a multi-vendor environment according to the project management methodology and according to the agreed scope, quality, budget and timeline.  IT Project Manager will also establish the project plan and initiate project mobilization by confirming project scope, estimate, resources, roles and responsibilities.

Main responsibilities

• Ensure project success to achieve business benefits – responsible for delivering agreed project scope, quality and schedule within agreed budget.
• Control execution of the project through Plan, Analyze, Design, Build, Test and Deploy phases in waterfall or agile models
• Provide leadership and decision making support including establishing project governance
• Perform project reporting including overall performance of the project completion
• Work closely with other relevant managers as responsible for delivery of the work
• Other duties set by supervisor

• 3-5 years of experience in successful Project Management in a multinational / multivendor environment
• An applicable academic degree or qualifications required
• Experience of vendor management, service / system providers and system implementations
• Experience and leadership in managing remote teams and working with teams across multiple locations, from multiple countries in multiple companies
• Experience of presenting and negotiating with all levels and entities within Outokumpu organization
• Able to understand the big picture; able to prioritize and focus on essentials to execute
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in English, both oral and in written text
• Co-operating problem solving skills, attention to details and quality
• Ability to build people networks and make things happen by leading through people
• Experience of different (Agile, Prince 2 etc) project methodologies is an advantage
• Travelling (mainly in Europe, depending on the active projects) will be required.
