Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a junior analyst to join the Clinical Supply Solutions business unit within World Courier, based in Vilnius. Reporting to the Senior Director of the division you will be a key member of the team and bring your developing analytical skills to a variety of projects covering all aspects of business intelligence and strategy.  You will be responsible for consulting with all departments to develop analytic solutions and so the delivery of intelligence and insight. The Junior CSS Data Analyst will develop to provide expertise in BI analytic tools, providing on-demand reporting and training to other users, as well as executing ad hoc analysis as required. There will be considerable on the job training and opportunities to significantly expand your role, ranging from more advanced analytical work to product and programme management. This position would suit a candidate who has had experience in a similar role or a recent graduate who has successfully completed an internship in a business setting. Remuneration is competitive.

This role will utilize strong analytic skills though we expect regularly requiring of input/steer from other team members to ensure optimal approach. The successful candidate would be capable of working on own for extended periods and for communicating results of work. Limited experience at managing small projects expected.

Responsibilities:

  1. Serves as a key resource for interpreting data and information; communicates results to team members.
  2. Operates as a key contact between departments and IT to facilitate the delivery of business intelligence solutions.
  3. Works closely with IT project managers and operations to coordinate cross-functional project activities and ensures deliverables are accurate and meet customer requirements.
  4. Utilizes business intelligence tools across all departments and functional areas providing detailed reporting and analysis.
  5. Assesses analytics and reporting needs; in time providing recommendations for enhanced solutions and specifications for business intelligence tools.
  6. Supports the delivery of BI solutions to internal and external customers.
  7. Supports prioritization of reporting needs across process areas to support deployment strategies and business needs.
  8. Supports development of protocols to extract data in a standardized process from a variety of data sources.
  9. Supports development and definition of data management standards and processes to effectively manage data through the reporting life cycle.
  10. Supports data mining of customer and sales force information for all market segments.
  11. Supports development of prototypes and models for database, data integrations and data transformation needs.
  12. Maintains and develops strong working relationships with business owners as a process advocate.
  13. Supports creation of speech and presentation materials for members of the management team.
  14. Keeps abreast of healthcare trends and competitor activity.

Requirements

  1. Experience in a similar BI Analyst role or a recent graduate who has successfully completed an internship in a business setting.
  2. Experience in developing strong analytics and reporting knowledge an advantage, otherwise evidence of strong analytic mind-set and intellectual curiosity essential.
  3. Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and multitasking
  4. Ability to effectively participate in cross-functional problem solving teams
  5. Planning, analytical and conceptual skills to evaluate business problems and identify and apply appropriate solutions
  6. Experience with VBA, Python, R, SPSS,  Microsoft SQL Server or Access would be considered as an advantage
  7. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Excel essential
