Main Purpose of Role
To support DecisionMetrics and Numero project teams ensure the delivery of high quality solutions to clients by the application of professional testing techniques, knowledge and best practices. Ensure that client’s requirements for software functionality is properly tested and documented to DecisionMetics/Numero standards. Work with Test Manager to contribute to the continuing improvement of the testing activities in SAF department.
Key Tasks & Accountabilities:
- Understand clients’ requirements for DM or Numero software functionality as per Solution Design Document
- Contributes into test plan creation. Write scripts/conditions which cover all software delivery functionality requirements
- Carry out testing during software deliveries using a variety of testing tools and techniques
- Provide rapid feedback and information to the project teams to allow appropriate corrections and decisions to be made. For example through defect raising, re-testing, verbal feedback and test, requirement reviews
- Participates in developing the department’s test procedures, testing standards and best practices
- Able to diagnose issues, defects blockers in deliveries where possible
- Collaborate and communicate with project teams to minimise the creation of defects in deliveries
- Feed into Test exit report creation
- Participate in defect management process with clients during User Acceptance Testing phases

Skills:
Essential:
- Pasion for quality excellence and delivering the right thing
- Good communication and team working skills
- Good problem solving skills to identify root cause
- Ability to work on own initiative and within defined deadlines, with minimal supervision
- Collaborative approach to testing
Preferred:
- Experience of working within IT industry and within a team delivering solutions to clients
- Experience of functional/system/unit testing will be an advantage
- Experience of working in projects remotely
Knowledge:
Essential:
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic knowledge of testing tools (e.g. SOAP UI, VSTS)
Preferred:
- ISEB /ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation level will be advantage
Academic & Professional Qualifications
Essential:
- Higher education, preferably: IT, Computer science, mathematics or business related
Preferred:
- Educated to ‘A’ Level standard
