Accounts Receivable Team Lead

Job Description

As the Accounts Receivable Team-Lead you will have full responsibility for the end-to-end Accounts Receivable function, ensuring accurate ledgers, timely collections, and efficient AR processes. This role leads and develops a team of five Accounts Receivable Accountants, while actively contributing to projects, acquisitions, and business growth initiatives, ensuring AR is properly represented and integrated.

The role combines operational ownership, people leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational & Financial Ownership

  • Own the full Accounts Receivable process, ensuring accurate, up-to-date, and reconciled customer ledgers
  • Ensure timely and effective invoicing, cash collection, dispute resolution, and credit management
  • Monitor AR KPIs including DSO, overdue balances, and provide accurate data cash forecasting accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and other relevant regulations, as well as
  • Act as the primary escalation point for customer or ledger issues

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5 Accounts Receivable accountants
  • Set clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations for the team
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and support professional development
  • Ensure adequate resourcing, workload balance, and knowledge sharing within the team

Projects, Acquisitions & Business Growth

  • Actively participate in cross-functional projects impacting AR processes and systems
  • Ensure Accounts Receivable requirements are considered and embedded in acquisitions, integrations, and new business initiatives
  • Support the onboarding of new entities, customers, and business models from an AR perspective
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization across all AR-activities

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations, Commercial, Customer Service and other stakeholders within the organization
  • Partner with Finance leadership to support month-end closing, reporting, and audit
  • Provide clear communication and reporting on AR performance, risks, and opportunities
