Android Engineer, Frontend Technologies

As Vinted’s new Android Software Engineer, you’ll be joining the Android Technologies team. This is a team that provides Android support to Vinted developers in the marketplace business unit, helping them to develop and ship features faster. You will be working on very exciting engineering areas like Android build systems, observability tools and coming up with technical solutions for platform stability and scalability.

You’ll also support our Android Staff engineer and other technologies engineers in executing critical platform projects, moving us closer to achieving our company mission.

• Collaborate with peers to design and maintain core Android architecture, shared libraries, and developer tooling that empower product engineers to build high-performance app features efficiently
• Enable other Android engineering teams by creating developer experience solutions
• Collaborate with other teams through GitHub pull requests and code reviews
• Use comprehensive testing methodologies, including unit tests, integration tests, snapshot tests, and UI tests
• See how your code affects 100+ million Vinted members
• Work with Android, Kotlin, Kotlin Multiplatform and other tools.

• Willing to learn and master new technologies and concepts
• Willing to work with a senior and very knowledgeable team
• You have deep understanding of key software engineering and Android-specific principles and technologies
• You understand and use future proof software architecture and design patterns, Android arch, Kotlin coroutines
• Understand trade-offs in solutions and are attentive to detail
