ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for an analytically minded professional who views numbers as an exciting challenge and values collaboration with colleagues. In this role, you will play a key part in managing and enhancing the Bank’s credit risk framework. Your responsibilities will include analyzing the quality of the credit portfolio, identifying early warning signs, providing actionable recommendations to strengthen risk management, and contributing to the development and validation of internal models. You will work closely with the Management Board, Credit Committee, and business units, acting as part of the Bank’s second-line risk management function. This position reports directly to the Chief Risk Officer.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze the quality of the Bank’s credit portfolio, identify early warning signs, and provide recommendations for improvement measures.
  • Prepare credit risk reviews and present information to the Bank’s Management Board and Credit Committee.
  • Ensure an effective credit risk management process by providing recommendations for improving lending processes and risk management.
  • Contribute to the development, testing, and validation of internal models.
  • Assess and enhance lending decisions, client risk assessment, and credit documentation processes.
  • Participate in credit risk limit-setting processes, risk assessments, and stress testing.
  • Develop, update, and improve internal regulations related to credit risk assessment, customer credit rating, and overall credit risk management, in line with supervisory requirements (EBA, Bank of Lithuania guidelines).
  • Provide consultations to business units in the first line and act as a credit risk competence center within the Bank’s second line risk management function.
  • Prepare training materials for employees involved in credit risk management.
  • Perform quality control of lending decisions.
  • Collaborate with other Bank departments to effectively achieve assigned objectives.

WE EXPECT FROM YOU

  • University degree in banking, economics, finance, statistics, or business management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in credit risk management.
  • Excellent knowledge of credit risk management, particularly in consumer finance, supervisory requirements, private client lending, expected credit loss calculation, and loan evaluation regulations.
  • Ability to organize and analyze large volumes of data.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present opinions clearly and persuasively.
  • Good command of English and Lithuanian.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with data processing and/or statistical modelling tools (Python, R, etc.).
  • Experience in developing and/or validating internal models.

SALARY

The starting salary is from €4000 per month before taxes, depending on your experience and skills.
